WOW! Have I really not written anything here for 18 months!  I guess I'm like a lot of folks, time I had been putting on blogs and such has ended up on Facebook.  I help admin about a half dozen pages/groups on Facebook.    They don't usually take much time ... unless you re busy then they take up way too much.

I help admin the Bumpus Farm page (Aman actually admins it.  I'm just an editor)


Three of us admin the West Union page.  We probably spend more time on Admin stuff there than most would. but we try and keep it fresh.  We take off things that have already happened and try to keep it positive.  As a service to those who don't get a newspaper or like Don Cork have move across the country we try to keep current local obits posted


I also help admin the Christian Church page.  Keeping events and schedules current takes more time than one would imagine.

The West Union 4th of July page is seasonal.  Right now it doesn't take much time.  There is also a 4th of July volunteers page someone started that I agreed to help admin

And I am just an extra admin on the Ruritan page.

I also help admin our Friends of the West Union Fire Dept group.  We have 212 members!  Almost more than live in West Union !  It is not owned or operated by the fire dept.  That avoids Freedom of Information Act rules.  Also means there are some things we can't discuss.

We also have a "secret" group for the family reunion.  Because it is "Secret" it is not supposed to be discoverable by search engines and nobody can read posts except a member.  No use advertising your house will be empty a few days.
