So we were at plan B before I even left home.
On the way there Mom called. Someone she knows called to tell her there was a pickup stuck in the field south of her house.
He'd been asked to pull it out, but he didn't have that capability.
Short version, the golf cart has been recovered.
The young man who 'borrowed' the golf cart apparently also "borrowed" the truck and enough gas money to fill the tank several times. The owner of the truck was not as ... ummmm ... understanding as Mom.
Mom now has a infrared camera system with a DVR controller/recorder. It looks similar to this:

Good deal but its a shame we have to go this far to feel safe and to protect what we have worked to get, while others think they should be able just to have it without working for it.
